Educating the next generation on the power of recycling!???? We were thrilled to have the opportunity to partner with Jessica Alexanderson, author of The Girl Who Recycled One Million Cans, to bring a fun and educational #Recycling event to our local K-8 school. Our Chief Technology Officer, Daniel A. Zabaleta, joined Jessica in reading to students about the importance of #Aluminum recycling and how small actions—like collecting and crushing cans—can have a major impact on sustainability. After the reading, students participated in a hands-on recycling activity, where they collected cans and loaded them into the SA Recycling trailer, reinforcing the lesson in a real-world way. Events like this help highlight the environmental and economic benefits of aluminum recycling. Unlike other materials, aluminum is #InfinitelyRecyclable and can return to store shelves as a new can in as little as 60 days. By educating younger generations, we can drive long-term change and support a #CircularEconomy. A huge thank you to Jessica, the teachers, and all the students for their enthusiasm and participation.
