Canopy Realtor? Association is Advancing the Profession and Improving Communities. As the 16th largest association in the nation, we focus on fostering engagement, creating value, improving professionalism, providing education, elevating the value of a Realtor?, advocating for the real estate industry, and developing future leaders. The Association is the parent entity for Canopy MLS, Canopy Real Estate Institute (CREI) and the Canopy Housing Foundation. Canopy MLS is the 19th largest MLS in the country and ensures that subscribers receive the technology tools, training and support to better equip Realtors? to serve clients. Realtors? utilize Canopy MLS to access the most accurate, timely data and provide maximum exposure for a home. CREI provides an array of education through its virtual Canopy Campus platform making it easy to enroll in and access in-person, online or self-paced real estate education, professional development and training courses including a full range of North Carolina and South Carolina course offerings and nationally recognized designations and certifications developed by the National Association of Realtors? and the Real Estate Business Institute. Canopy Housing Foundation, the charitable arm of the Association, continues to grow through the support of Realtor? volunteers in Mecklenburg, Iredell and Haywood Counties. Through the Foundation's mission and various initiatives, Realtors? actively demonstrate their commitment to creating communities where all housing needs are met.

The Board of Directors of Canopy MLS unanimously approved $200,000 in contributions to support Hurricane Helene relief efforts in #WesternNC. The following organizations will receive a contribution of $50,000 each: * United Way of Haywood County: To support rebuilding houses in Haywood County. * BeLoved Asheville: To provide critical necessities and secure warm and safe housing. * Samaritan's Purse: To assist with tree work, mudding out homes, removing debris, tarping roofs, clearing driveways, and private roads, and offering portable water. * American Red Cross North Carolina (Western NC): To support Community Care Centers and food distribution efforts. Congratulations to our inspirational leader and CEO, AnneMarie DeCatsye, Esq., for being named the National Association of REALTORS? (NAR) 2024 recipient of the prestigious William R. Magel Award. The William R. Magel Award of Excellence is presented annually to an individual who has truly excelled in his or her role as an association executive of a REALTOR? association. The most compelling candidates are those who are well-known within the AE community, with an extensive record of participation, mentorship and contributions that is consistent with the Award’s qualifications. The announcement came today during the Association Executives Committee meeting at the NAR Conference in Boston. Jarrod Grasso, RCE, Chair of NAR’s Recommendations and Recognition Advisory Board, shared highlights of her nomination earning her this well-deserved recognition. Regional Service Award, given annually to honor a Realtor? in each region who has contributed to and is continuing to contribute to their communities, and their local, state and national associations. The award is given annually to honor a member who has demonstrated initiative, enthusiasm and originality, and has dedicated time to committee work above and beyond what’s required of a committee member.
