“There are three key qualities that drive success for the individuals on our team: Independent & Resourceful, Organized, and Self-Motivated. Being in a sales role in a small organization requires me to wear many different hats. Where one might have multiple roles supporting a sale in a large company, much of the responsibility falls solely on the salesperson at Canoe. It is critical to be self-reliant and able to work independently, while still knowing when to bring in other internal experts. In a single day, I might be researching potential leads, preparing for a proof of concept demonstration, and working through the final stages of a contract on a deal. Without proper preparation and prioritization, it would be nearly impossible to maintain focus and get through everything on my To-Do List. Organization is also critical to support a growing client list and sales pipeline. Finally, many adjectives (driven; ambitious; persistent) that describe a good salesperson boil down to being self-motivated. It is important to wake up each day with a willingness to seize every opportunity and remain persistent through any challenges without someone else pushing you to be great. ”

We support a remote and hybrid employee experience
We have a great office in NYC’s Soho neighborhood. Local employees usually visit the office 2-3 times per week. They also get together regularly to socialize outside of work. Being a distributed team, we use a number of tools to connect across the company (slack, confluence, etc.). All remote employees have the opportunity to visit NYC a few times annually to gain quality in-person time with their teams.
