All participant data will be shared with all participants digitally! This is just one way that we aim to increase transparency in natural products research. On a personal note, I have a lot of experience with kavalactones - as a root powder, tincture, wax concentrate, carbonated drink, and the traditional root drink in a ceremonial bowl. If you’re interested, you know where to look where I put all my clickables. Kava helps me emotionally regulate and I’m really excited to see if others have the same experience. Kava is interesting politically because it is to my knowledge the only natural medicine to be banned in the US to be completely vindicated soon after the scientific data was found to be low quality. This is ironic given the current scheduling of cannabis where we have mountains of data showing that the initial data for scheduling is of extremely low quality. Thanks to everyone who is out there supporting us trying to move this boulder inch by inch. Comment any questions and me and my team will get back!

This is an important post. How is it that an industry that relies on quality and consistency of supply considers that supply dead last when crafting regulations. Nurseries are the foundation of the entire supply chain.
**???? The Need for Cannabis Nurseries in NY ????** New York is rolling out more cannabis licenses, but can we talk about the elephant in the room? ?? It’s a paradox that as New York continues to roll out more cannabis licenses, we lack essential opportunities for #NY nurseries. ?? The absence of local cannabis nurseries is leaving our farmers in a tough spot—forced to rely on unreliable, unstable, and non-versatile genetics sourced from out of state. This situation creates a unique opportunity for innovation and growth in NY. Imagine the potential for immaculate #genetics tailored to our climate and community needs! ? instead of having immaculate conceptions, lmfao Quality genetics should be accessible to all our hardworking #farmers! This gap has inspired me to envision a future where we cultivate not just plants but a vibrant, diverse ecosystem of genetics tailored to our unique environment right here in New York. ?? We need to push for the basics! Let's advocate for the resources and support needed to cultivate a stronger, more resilient cannabis community right here in NY! Because our farmers deserve the best, robust genetics to thrive and succeed! ???? #CannabisCommunity #GeneticsMatters #NeedTheBasics #SupportLocalFarmers #NYCannabis #Innovation #AdvocateForChange #FuckHLVD #FarmsFirst #NYFarmers #SustainableAgriculture #Nursery

Anyone headed to Niagara in January? I’m super tempted to make my way down, especially since seeing the iconic Ed Rosenthal will be speaking. I have been reading his books for years now and look up to his incredible advocacy. I sadly didn’t get the chance to attend NECANN or the SUNY ADK conference and am tempted to hear anyone’s thoughts about the SUNY conferences! Are they worth the drive and hotel expense for out of towners? Are the panels engaging and informative, even for individuals currently not holding licenses? Does anyone have a favorite part about the SUNY Cannabis Conferences? Let me know! ??????
Our SUNY Niagara Cannabis Conference keynote speaker this year is a true pioneer in the cannabis space, Ed Rosenthal! His expertise in horticulture and advocacy for legalization make him a vital voice in the industry. Much of what is known about cannabis cultivation started with Ed Rosenthal. He has written or edited more than a dozen books about cannabis cultivation and social policy that cumulatively have sold over two million copies. In his newest book, “Cannabis Grower’s Handbook” he shows how to grow using easy to understand instructions. The book also details new information found in no other “grow book” that will help experienced commercial growers improve quality and increase yield. Beyond the garden, Rosenthal views cannabis laws as a crucial social issue and has been active in promoting and developing policies of civil regulation “Ed holds the distinction of turning more people onto pot than Cheech and Chong.” – Tommy Chong If anyone’s looking to deepen their knowledge about cannabis cultivation and policy, this conference will be a fantastic opportunity. Don’t forget to grab those tickets! https://lnkd.in/e42N5MQg edrosenthal.com

What is the difference between medical cannabis and adult use? This is the million dollar question and we have tried to simplify the differences between adult use, medical cannabis and cannabinoid based pharmaceuticals in a table below. Its also worth noting that a Company's DNA (its, mission, vision, management qualification and culture) also shape the focus of the company. Avicanna as an example has always been committed to medical and pharma application. As such have focused on R&D, designed our products, services and objectives on improving patient outcomes and unmet medical needs. This distinction is likely to grow as the industry evolves, leading to tailored products and services catering specifically to medical versus adult use consumers. #AVCN #MedicalDNA #focus #patientsfirst

It is with great humility and heavy hearts that CFA has had to spend time, resources and treasure on this. That said, it is important to our members, cannabis farmers, farmers, and other stakeholders in this industry. https://lnkd.in/dJPqcttS

Big names going down, companies restructuring, an industry flailing. It's easy to blame over regulation, bureaucrats drunk with power nit picking over asinine details. That's actually true. From our perspective, however, another crucial component is still being largely ignored in the discourse and by the big players which is: Cannabis is a plant. The intricacies of the cannabis crop system are agricultural - not economic, not technological, not political (except, kind of right now). You look around and you'll see the cultivators still in it or still growing use standard agricultural practices of today with special attention to post-harvest. Super expensive systems using clones as starting material just can't compete with good old fashioned field grown crops. End-use being difficult/impossible to predict as the industry emerges from prohibition into a regulatory K-hole and soon, perhaps, into normalcy means betting the farm on AAA flower wasn't the call. That's why Adam and I wrote Cannabis Farming (https://lnkd.in/g5F67w44) to highlight systems that can produce high quality and quantity organically and cost effectively. The game is still shaking out. And many floral crops are grown in sophisticated greenhouse systems and cannabis will be no exception - in fact it may quickly become the rule. My message is that a focus on the fundamentals - the cannabis crop system - needs to be centered right now during industry upheaval. Everything everyone in this industry is out there doing right now - where does it start? What's the genesis of all of this? Seeds.
