On behalf of everyone at Canine Partners of the Rockies, we extend our deepest gratitude to Giving Machines Denver for such a wonderful experience in November and December. Together, we raised almost $62,000 to purchase items that directly support our service dogs in training and their future partnerships! Throughout November and December, donors visited charity vending machines in Cherry Creek and purchased items like service dogs vests, training treats and puppy starter kits; choosing items meaningful to them and giving something that truly makes a difference locally. We're grateful to everyone who was part of this campaign - donors, volunteers, Giving Machine staff, local businesses and media - you all helped make this a huge success! March is Traumatic Brain Injury Awareness Month. Canine Partners of the Rockies is proud to be partnering with the Marcus Institute for Brain Health on the CU Anschutz Medical Campus to bring comfort and healing to Veterans, first responders and staff through therapeutic visits with our future service dogs. The non-profit Canine Partners of the Rockies spends years training service dogs and gives them to Coloradans at no cost. These dogs change lives. Let's help pair more Coloradans with more service dogs. I'll match the next fifty $5 donations: https://lnkd.in/g8sFkP58 Each dog takes two years to train. During that time, they visit schools, hospitals, and veterans groups. It's therapy for the humans, training for the dogs, and it helps Canine Partners of the Rockies determine which dogs are the best fit for which assignments. Canine Partners of the Rockies says most of its dogs are placed with Coloradans with mobility disabilities. Others are placed to work with facilities like medical centers and schools. Each dog is placed in Colorado so the non-profit can be of help during their 8-10 working years. Approximately $30,000 in *additional* donations will be added to this microgiving campaign, and each weekly effort, thanks to the generous support of 4000+ monthly recurring donors to the Word of Thanks Fund.
