I'm super excited… I was named to Forbes 30 Under 30: Cincinnati 2024!! I am so grateful to have been honored alongside so many incredible individuals and in the city where it all started for me. Three years ago, in my dorm at the University of Miami, I came up with the idea for a social media agency, called Step Up Social. A year later, we had made some pretty decent headway, and we got our first-ever press feature in a local Cincinnati publication called “Cincy Inno” to discuss our first investment from a local angel investor. At the time, we were specializing in TikTok campaigns and we used college student creators to generate content at scale. We were generating around $200,000 per year, which felt pretty amazing for a college student startup. But obviously we wanted to keep growing, and our goal was for that first investment to take us from a $200K a year agency to a $1M a year agency by the end of 2023. Looking back on this first article and now at the list from Forbes, it’s so wild to think that a $2M+ per year agency started from my college dorm room at Miami University by a couple of Gen Zers who knew they could make great TikToks. We couldn't have gotten to this point without our supporters (including our first investor), the support of the Cincinnati community, and without the trust of our clients and the creativity of our talented team.
