CampusVR was invited by the iconic Harlem Children's Zone to host a college virtual reality tour workshop. The goal was to allow the students of Harlem, New York, using CampusVR's technology, to visit colleges and universities across the United States that they would otherwise never be able to physically see. We were skeptical at first, as this is a week off for students in NYC. Would students actually come to school during their vacation to take college virtual reality tours? As dozens of students rolled in, we quickly realized that our concerns were unfounded. Students, some of whom have never left New York State, were all of a sudden transplanted to The University of Alabama, Auburn University, Duke University, University of Connecticut, Marymount University, Mississippi State University, University of Tampa, Texas Christian University, University of Massachusetts Amherst, University of Maryland, Penn State University, Oklahoma State University, Texas Tech University and many others. Each student was able to tour a minimum of 3 institutions. The founders at CampusVR were raised during the time of Harlem Children's Zone's inception are are very familiar with Geoffrey Canada and "Waiting for Superman". We could not be more honored to partner with this legendary institution.
