#DYK that our weather stations are being used by the UK Met Office??? ? Between 2007 and 2010, 195 UK Met Office weather stations were upgraded, bringing five separate systems into one #CampbellSci solution. CR800, CR1000, and CR3000 dataloggers were used. In the years that followed, the network expanded to approximately 400 stations, now using the CR1000X to send data via MQTTS to their "cloud-first" data platform?called SurfaceNet.

#DYK that Campbell Scientific is involved with the Ker Laboratory??? ? The Ker Laboratory is a collaboration between the Campbell Scientific Global Science Program and the Chinese Academy of Sciences for the research and development of forest flux monitoring products such as the CPEC310 for eddy-covariance, the AP200 for atmospheric profiling, and the EasyFlux? series data logger programs.?? ? The objective is to demonstrate the advantages of #CampbellSci products to the ChinaFlux community. Each of three 50 m towers is equipped with a CPEC310, AP200, EasyFlux, and other research-grade micromet sensors. The flux towers have attracted high-level scientists from all over China and have become a key model for the configuration of CO2 flux instrument systems in the region.

Campbell Scientific

Many thanks to Andrew for this important reminder: "The key takeaway from these sessions is simply to talk to us if you are ever unsure about your datalogging requirements." Our #CampbellSci experts enjoy collaborating with our customers to help them succeed in measurement data collection for their various projects and applications.
Business Development Manager - Infrastructure - Europe, Middle East, Central Asia, North Africa at Campbell Scientific
Yesterday I had the privilege of hosting a workshop with our colleagues at Soil Instruments at their office in the UK. The workshop provided an overview of Instrumentation & Monitoring principles and best practices along with previous use cases of Campbell Scientific solutions and an introduction of some lesser known features around our datalogging capabilities such as an introduction to ShortCut and Network Planner. The key takeaway from these sessions is simply to talk to us if you are ever unsure about your datalogging requirements. Always ask questions, as the implementation of I&M systems is to answer a question.

Should you be concerned about stress and strain’s impact on the safety of our roads, bridges, dams, and other critical foundations? How much stress and strain is too much? As infrastructure everywhere ages, understanding their wear and tear is key to preserving our structures and maintaining public safety. In the latest #CampbellSci blog article from Eric Schmidt, he shares the role of structural health monitoring (SHM), why monitoring stress and strain goes beyond routine inspections, and how early signs of structural fatigue can warn of potentially serious issues. Get all the details at https://lnkd.in/gzgzXNRH #StructuralHealthMonitoring

#DYK that #CampbellSci recently installed 120 weather stations in Zambia? This World Bank-funded CAWEP project has significantly enhanced the nation's meteorological network, providing crucial data for accurate weather forecasting, disaster risk reduction, and climate resilience. The training that Zambia's met department received—along with this modernized network—supports improved agricultural productivity and climate-proof infrastructure and contributes to global weather monitoring efforts.
