We’re All Shook Up over the news regarding a fraudulent loan and potential foreclosure sale against Graceland, the iconic home of Elvis Presley. According to a lawsuit filed by The King’s granddaughter, Danielle Riley Keough, a fraudulent company claimed that Keough’s mother, Lisa Marie Presley, took out a $3.8M loan and put up Graceland as collateral. All signs point to the loan documents being forged and while the foreclosure has been halted, this highlights the very real threat of fraud within the real estate world and the importance of title insurance, which protects homeowners from exactly this type of situation.
