Our team had the honor of spending time with “The Cooz” alongside P.F. Flyers in his Worcester home and left feeling motivated to leave our own legacies and to “do our best when no one’s looking.”

It has since become one of P.F. Flyers’ most iconic releases, beloved by athletes, fashion enthusiasts, and collectors alike."

Flyers to interview the legendary Bob Cousy, “The Houdini of the Hardwood,” as he celebrated his 96th birthday and the re-release of his signature shoe. “The Cooz" isn’t just a basketball icon—he’s a trailblazer. From being the first player inducted into The Basketball Hall of Fame and a six-time NBA Champion with the Boston Celtics to founding the National Basketball Players Association and earning a Presidential Medal of Freedom, Cousy’s influence goes far beyond the court. Pioneer, teammate, father, hero. In 1958, Cousy made history by signing the NBA’s first-ever shoe deal with P.F. Flyers. His signature shoe remains a classic, and this week, Cousy's coverage made a splash, landing in Sports Illustrated and Rolling Stone. The best part? Experiencing his "razzle-dazzle" and charm in person. His words of wisdom—“Do your best when no one is looking”—reflect his character and charisma, both on and off the court.
