Joanne Bean, RN, BSN, MBA, Camp Sunshine’s President and Chief Executive Officer and Stephanie Feyler, Camp Sunshine’s Vice President of Program Operations and New Business Development recently traveled to Spokane, Washington for #COCAcon2024, which was hosted by our friends from Children's Oncology Camping Association-International (COCA-I). Camp Sunshine maintains Gold Ribbon Accreditation through COCA-I. The Gold Ribbon Accreditation program is important because it is the only pediatric oncology camping association to offer specific guidelines for providing a medically and psychosocially safe environment for individuals and families affected by childhood cancer. Joanne and Stephanie connected with other Camp leaders, shared insights, and gained valuable knowledge to continue supporting families facing pediatric cancer.
