In the season of Giving, we are glad to have played a small part in a big mission. The Salvation Army helps those in need of everyday essentials and makes gift giving a little easier during the Holidays. We hope this spot Edited by Elizabeth Stewart evokes a little generosity in you today ??. “In ‘Noise’ we explore the inner thoughts of a girl trying to stay strong for her family in their time of need. But the pressure she puts on herself becomes overwhelming and as much as she feels like it's her responsibility to figure it out, her inner world begins to calm once she realizes the Salvation Army is there to help. Since this story is told mostly through her thoughts, the challenge was to find a way for the pacing of the edit to help the viewer feel what she was feeling. The key was to let the cuts and sound design build slowly and then culminate when she reaches her breaking point. We wanted to make sure that when she is approached by the woman at the Salvation Army, the viewer would feel the intensity subside, and know that she is now in a place where she felt some peace and hope.” — Camp Lucky Editor, Elizabeth Stewart Credits: Client: Salvation Army Director: Chris Fowles Editor: Elizabeth Stewart Editor Assistant: Cate Hauder Colorist: Neil Anderson Audio Engineer and SFX artist: Matt Cimino On Camera Talent - Alynna Andrade

"The real challenge in editing, is to trust the process, stay open to everyone's ideas - including the client's - and never lose sight of the fact that it takes a team to create a great ad." — Editor Alex Heisterkamp Thank you LBBonline - Little Black Book for including one of Camp Lucky’s editors Alex, in the article titled “Behind the Snip: An Editing Guide for Clients.”

Camp Lucky's Sai Selvarajan directed and edited the music video for “London May” by the legendary Bonnie “Prince” Billy. You might remember one of his other stage names— Palace Brothers, Palace, or Will Oldham. Between a built set and the Volume Wall, we think this turned out as beautiful as Sai imagined ??. . “It’s an honor to collaborate with Will on this music video. I’ve been a fan since the early 2000s from his Palace Brothers era to now. Will is a true artist and an American treasure in my book. This song is so beautifully constructed in that it starts moody and dark and gives way to optimism. I really wanted the visuals to depict that. I took a lot of things I love and threw them into the creative cauldron. From breakdancing to skateboarding to mid century modern architecture to 35mm slide projectors.” .
