Here's a cool one for today. Using H3, the hexagonal grid system developed by Uber, we created a map to visualize farm producers and operators working over 1,000 acres. Unlike traditional county-based mapping, H3 offers consistent data granularity, eliminating the need for normalization and providing more accurate insights. You can scale up or down the size of the hexagons depending on the data set. H3 is useful when mapping market data and making decisions about where to invest, which is why Uber pioneered its use.
