FAQ: Do you have any recommendations for mating a cam follower to a barrel cam path surface? First use the single surface option when creating the cam in CAD. Create a very narrow surface on the outside of the cam follower, about 0.010" wide. Mate the cam so it can spin freely on its axis. Mate the cam follower so it can move freely only in the direction of travel.
