关于我们
The University of South Florida’s Center for Advanced Medical Learning and Simulation (CAMLS) is one of the world’s largest, free-standing simulation facilities exclusively dedicated to training healthcare professionals. CAMLS is part of the USF Health Downtown Initiative. CAMLS provides simulation experiences for educating students; training health care faculty in simulation education; and preparing health care professionals to acquire, maintain and enhance their clinical practice to meet today’s workforce needs and improve patient care in Tampa Bay, Florida and around the globe. CAMLS is conveniently located in the heart of downtown Tampa and is open seven days a week to accommodate the numerous demands that challenge today’s domestic and international healthcare providers and researchers. The CAMLS facility is a 90,000-square-foot, three-story facility that provides a state-of-the-art, high-fidelity clinical environment with dedicated surgical skills labs, operating trauma suites, and patient exam rooms, plus 25,000 square feet of meeting and conference space. CAMLS specializes in providing a realistic training environment for healthcare providers and can replicate nearly any clinical/medical environment. Additionally, CAMLS is a world-class meeting and conference center, located steps away from the Tampa Convention Center; Amalie Arena; downtown hotels and lodging; the Tampa Riverwalk; and the emerging Channelside business district. CAMLS also serves as a unique backdrop for television, commercial, and film production due to its ability to replicate a realistic setting for a hospital, a doctor’s office, a clinic, or even an accident scene with lifelike ‘patients’ – without the rigors of using an actual health care facility. CAMLS takes pride in providing concierge level service in an academic-entrepreneurial business model which enables flexibility to serve the needs of a wide range of clients and learners.

?? A Decade of Collaboration and Innovation in Surgical Education ?? I am deeply honored and proud to have directed the Center for Advanced Medical Learning and Simulation (CAMLS) #MIGS Course for the past 10 years. It has been an incredible journey, shaping a platform where surgeons can enhance their skills alongside an amazing group of faculty who are not only experts in their field but also passionate about teaching and sharing their knowledge. This course has been a true collaboration with AAGL and I am profoundly grateful for the years of partnership that have allowed us to grow and innovate together. I’m beyond excited to see our course featured once again during #AAGL2024. Here’s to continuing the tradition of excellence in surgical education and advancing care for our patients. #MIGS #SurgicalEducation #Collaboration #Gratitude #AAGL #CAMLS
