In honor of the #BackToSchool season, we are highlighting resident Joseph Sambuco, a retired school principal! Joseph Sambuco served as a medic in the Army and went on to earn his undergraduate degree from West Chester University. After, Joseph received two Master's Degrees from Glassboro State College (today Rowan College of New Jersey) and Temple University! Joseph spent 33 years educating the younger generations, 14 of which he served as a principal! As a teacher, he mostly taught 6th grade and earned teacher of the year twice! When asked what he loved teaching the best? He said math, where he would have his kids do long division races without calculators! This week we are proudly spotlighting resident Marcia Thibeault here at Cambridge Enhanced Senior Living! Marcia Thibeault, who is originally from Manville, NJ, and the oldest girl of 5 siblings, has been a hard worker all her life. Her first job was at 10 years old at the local dry cleaners! When she was older, she served ice cream & sodas to the local families. After graduating high school, she went to work in the secretarial pool at Johnson & Johnson in New Brunswick. After being inspired by early feminists, Marcia joined the WAF where she worked at Ottis Air Force Base in Ottis, Massachusetts. She packed parachutes each day at the base, and eventually met her husband, who was a Marine turned Air Force Airman. After getting pregnant with her daughter, Marcia moved to France & remained there for over 3 years with her family. Once they returned back to the states, Marcia worked various jobs in the healthcare community. She retired once her youngest son graduated college, and ever since she has been living and loving life!
