The Cambridge Agenda for Children Out-of-School Time (AFCOST) is pleased to share our most recent Impact Evaluation Report. https://lnkd.in/g9W_8jrz We hope that this report will spark deeper investment in professional growth opportunities for the dedicated staff who care for and nurture the wellbeing of our children and young people. The findings from this impact evaluation demonstrate that investing in professional growth and engagement opportunities for the Cambridge Out-of-School Time (OST) workforce has a profound and lasting impact on both staff and the youth they serve.

关于我们
Cambridge Agenda for Children Out-of-School Time (AFCOST) is a citywide intermediary situated in both the City’s human services and school departments. AFCOST unites the youth-serving community of Cambridge to increase equity, access, and quality out-of-school time (OST) experiences, particularly for children and youth from low-income families & communities of color. We professionalize and build the capacity of out-of-school time workers through training, communities of practice, networks, coaching, and ongoing quality improvement support. We reach 70 OST programs and over 350 youth development professionals annually.

Knowledge is power! Let us understand . . . and lean into our values.
What is the difference between #Diversity, #Equity & #Inclusion (DEI)? ?? Diversity is the variety and inclusion of people based on, but not limited to, ethnicity, age, disability, culture gender, sexual orientation, class, religion. ?? Equity refers to fairness and justice, recognising and acknowledging that everyone has different circumstances with room to adjust to imbalances. ?? Inclusion allows all voices to be heard, with opportunities and resources equally being provided to those who often find themselves marginalized in working or societal environments. Your name is important. It’s part of your heritage, identity and pride. But all over the world, names are mispronounced, and regardless of the reason, it’s hurtful. With the #MyNameIs digital tool, you can help share your and your employees’ real names by translating them into phonetics. It also encourages organisations to standardise these phonetic spellings in email signatures and throughout their business. Your name is your story – and it should be shared and pronounced correctly. One of the resources we shared on our recent blog post . . . https://lnkd.in/gBtWGfNQ
Since his inauguration, President Trump has signed dozens of executive orders covering a broad range of issues, including many that impact charitable nonprofits directly or indirectly. Some won’t take effect immediately and will be challenged in court. Check out our analysis of how the executive orders may impact diversity, equity, and inclusion programs; government grants and contracts; civic engagement; immigration; and certain nonprofit subsectors: https://bit.ly/4jslYIM We will be updating this document as more executive orders are announced. #Nonprofits #CommunityImpact
