CAMBA's YMHP Program is hosting Being Queer in the Workforce this Friday at the Brooklyn Community Pride Center. The course will be taught by Kary Williams and cover LGBTQ+ workplace rights, job interview skills, and workplace professionalism. ?? Exciting news! The State Assembly and Senate just released their one-house budgets, and we were thrilled to see that both budgets included a 7.8% investment on State human services contracts. Additionally, the Senate one-house budget included more human services programs under this investment, showing that legislators heard our call for more inclusive funding. This brings us one step closer to securing more funding to help nonprofits pay their workers higher wages and cover program costs, which have soared with inflation. This is the result of YOUR advocacy - the 300+ nonprofit human services workers who rallied?and spoke to their legislators in Albany this week, and the hundreds more who sent emails.
