Metro was honored to take part in the 126th annual Golden Dragon Parade celebrating the Lunar New Year in Chinatown this past Saturday. Our Year of the Snake bus rolled through the route along with a cohort of Metro employees, who handed out TAP cards and other giveaways to paradegoers. ? This year marks the first time Metro has participated in the parade. Our participation in community events such as these is the result of the work of our Office of Civil Rights and Partnerships teams. ? The Year of the Snake marks our first Lunar New Year-inspired bus and train wraps which have been traveling throughout the county since January. Feedback on the designs was given by our recently formed Chinese employee-resource group, Shangri-La. ? Thank you to the many people who rode Metro to the parade! ????
