General Liability vs. Professional Liability: General Liability covers physical risks like property damage and bodily injury (e.g., slip & fall), while Professional Liability focuses on service-related risks such as errors, omissions, and negligence in the services you provide. 2?? Should Nonprofits Offer Health Insurance for Employees? While it’s not required for smaller nonprofits, offering health insurance can significantly improve employee retention and help create a positive workplace culture. Larger nonprofits (50+ employees) must provide insurance to avoid penalties under the Affordable Care Act. 3?? What’s a Qualifying Life Event (QLE)? QLEs are life changes, like marriage, having a baby, or turning 26, that allow employees to adjust their insurance outside of the normal Open Enrollment Period.
