Please allow me to introduce our 3rd quarter grant recipient, Robert Trevino. Here is what he has to say: "My name is Robert “Alex” Trevino, I am 31 years old and was born in Corpus Christi, TX. I joined the Army in 2014 and served in the 1st Cavalry Division in Fort Hood, TX as a 91B (light wheeled vehicle mechanic). During my time in service I visited many places including Camp Casey, South Korea. After my Rotation to Korea, I decided to reenlist with hopes of furthering my military career. Shortly after I reenlisted, I was in a motor vehicle accident which resulted in a T-9 spinal cord injury and the complete loss of functionality in my legs. I am currently undergoing physical therapy and continuing to battle my way through this injury. I plan to use this computer to gain a better aspect and understanding of how a prosthetic limb can be manipulated and how it can overall improve the quality of life for the user. Thank you. "

Let me introduce you to our 2nd recipient for quarter 2. Chris Foley is 1 of 2 recipients that will receive a new computer grant this quarter. Chris is a 28-year veteran of the U.S. Navy. He served several years aboard the USS Saratoga and the VFA-83 and even more deployed overseas supporting operations across the globe. After leaving active-duty, Chris transitioned to the reserves and continued to support operations overseas and working Lockheed Martin in Europe and Africa. Now that Chris has settled down, he finally has the time to start his theological studies and work toward his Deaconate. He plans to use the computer from Callsign to accomplish his next mission.

We are happy to introduce you all to our first grant recipient of quarter 2. Meet Caleb Baxter, He served 7 years in the Army National Guard for the states of Arkansas & Texas. Caleb served on several stateside missions during hurricane Harvey, the Civil unrest during the George Floyd riots, and Operation Lone Star. He was also deployed overseas and served in Operation Enduring Freedom - Horn of Africa, in Djibouti and in Somalia. While deployed, I served as a machine gunner for the Quick Reaction Force both times. He is currently pursuing a legal studies degree so that he can continue to serve the public to the best of his abilities outside of the military. In his free time, Caleb enjoys playing video games & hiking with his dog. We cannot wait to help Caleb pursue his post military dreams! Congrats Caleb!
