We were thrilled to welcome students from SUNY Polytechnic Institute's Construction Management program to our Clemente Fane location in Oriskany, NY! This year marks the 10th anniversary of hosting these future leaders in construction management at our plant. Last week, Callanan hosted our second blood drive of the year, and we want to extend a huge thank you to everyone who participated and took the time to donate! ?????? Your support is truly appreciated!

This year, we proudly took the lead in helping the Tri-County Council of Vietnam Era Veterans with fall cleanup and maintenance at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial and the Gold Star Families Memorial in Albany, NY. Our team trimmed shrubbery, cleared away leaves and debris, added fresh mulch, and gave these special places the TLC they deserve. Now the memorials are looking their best, just in time for the Annual Veterans Parade! ??

On October 26th, we celebrate Make a Difference Day—but at Callanan, we take it a step further by dedicating the entire month to giving back. This year, we organized Make a Difference Month, where our dedicated team volunteered with inspiring organizations like The Food Pantry in Albany, St. Catherine’s Center for Children, the Veterans Memorial Cleanup, and the Food Pantry Farm Edition. We also tackled a big cleanup for our pollinator garden in South Bethlehem. In addition to volunteering, we collected donations for wanderer's rest humane association and the Cairo High School. Thanks to our team’s generosity, we were able to donate toys, food, snacks, blankets, and other essentials for the animal shelter. Our Oxbow Customers also came together and donated two trucks full of cans. We also gathered all the essential supplies for the Cairo High School students. It’s truly inspiring to see our team come together to support these meaningful causes!

Last Thursday, we hosted a Spooky Cookie class to celebrate Halloween, and it was a blast!???? The team at the main office got hands-on, learning step-by-step how to decorate festive sugar cookies. It was such a fun (and tasty!??) time for everyone.

Exciting day for our future DEC environmental analysts! ??? A group of 27 analysts from across New York gathered at our South Bethlehem Quarry for hands-on field training during a 3-day course. They explored permit requirements, and even got a close-up look at the quarry pit! It was a fantastic learning experience, giving them valuable insights into the daily operations and environmental considerations. A huge ?????????? ?????? to everyone who helped make this day possible and shared their expertise! ???
