The Endowment identifies and funds the most effective organizations that help unemployed veterans find great careers.
关于我们
The Call of Duty Endowment is a non-profit foundation co-founded by Bobby Kotick, the CEO of Activision Blizzard, and helps veterans find high-quality careers by supporting groups that prepare them for the job market and by raising awareness of the value vets bring to the workplace. Since 2009, the Endowment has funded the placement of more than 50,000 veterans into jobs, with average starting salaries in 2018 of over $58,000, 1.9x the national median. Our goal is to place 100,000 veterans in high-quality jobs by 2024. The Endowment uses a performance-driven approach to fund organizations delivering the highest standards of quality and cost-efficient veteran job placement services. Beyond funding, we also partner with our grantees to provide an array of advice and support aimed at maximizing their impact.

The Endowment’s Senior Director of Marketing, Helene Imperiale, sat down with Unleash to discuss the responsibility and opportunity that the private sector has to empower veterans through high-quality employment. The Endowment is proud to partner with Walking With The Wounded and the Forces Employment Charity in the UK to place more than 4,000 British veterans.
Senior Director, Corporate Social Responsibility & Call of Duty Endowment Marketing at Activision Blizzard
The private sector holds a key to unlocking the full potential of our veteran workforce. By recognizing and valuing the diverse skills and experiences veterans bring, we can help end veteran underemployment. At Activision Blizzard, we are proud to be signatories on the Armed Forces Covenant, which underlines our commitment to upholding fairness and respect for those that have served in the armed forces.

We couldn't agree more! This is why it's important to reach out right away for help with employment and why we are proud to partner with you and Hire Heroes USA.
I saw this quote yesterday in a report about veteran transition, and I couldn't help but wonder about the unintentional harm a quote like this might cause. When working with corporate partners to help them overcome a military skills translation gap, we often emphasize the people and leadership focused traits and competencies that veterans bring. Their learning agility, drive and determination, ability to handle stressful situations... And this quote in some ways says the opposite. The challenge that I think this quote means to evoke is that leaving any kind of institutionalized system and close knit culture is difficult; you have to re-learn every way of operating and interacting. It's managed with awareness, preparation, and personalized support. Building integrated systems that provide that level of support, connection, and opportunity enables companies and communities to see the best of what veterans and military families can provide. Those are the outcomes we want to get to.

This year’s Military Appreciation Month campaign would not have been possible without the support of Julie Torres and the Product Marketing Team at Sledgehammer Games.
