Unleash California Energy - for the Golden Age won’t happen without the Golden State. Thank you to Mike Umbro and Californians for Energy & Science for bringing together leaders and advocates from companies big and small, along with our friends in academia and the political arena. The vision is clear: to use data, science and common sense to start conversations about how and where energy is sourced. I love this state and would like nothing more than to continue to help provide energy for Californians, which should be by Californians to a larger degree than it is today. We have the resource, the skills and the technology. We need those who lead this state to support high paying Californian jobs for the very diverse group of employees that work whether it’s freezing or blistering hot to keep the pipes full, and even to bring needed electricity to the grid when it’s pushed to the max. #CaliforniaEnergy

Last week, the CleanConnect.ai team had the privilege of joining Californians for Energy & Science and top energy producers from across California for an important discussion on how we can Unleash California Energy. It was inspiring to hear from Mike Umbro and George Harmer, who are leading the charge in finding real solutions to move California forward. We also had the opportunity to hear from Senator Shannon Grove, who made it clear that the California government is "looking for a way out." "For there can be no Golden Era, without the Golden State..." Four of my Six reasons to tirelessly support Californians for Energy and Science CA4ES! Thank you Mike Umbro and Colleagues for all you do and to Daniel D McCall for the inspiration post idea… I am too humbled and honored to be invited and serve on a board of individuals that are looking to impact and pivot a common sense, grass roots return of CA policy that allows for a Golden State to help usher a Golden Era for the Legacy Energy sector… it is this black gold of sorts that has allowed not only revolutions of the industrial types but also has afforded Californias the comforts and mobility both practically and economically by helping legions of underserved improve their economies; it has allowed for community organizations and Special Districts to fund and offer the enrichment and capacity building of our youth in sports and afterschool enrichment as well as low and middle class livelihoods. Furthermore, the energy industry is where you will find many second chancers and justice-impacted individuals that rise via scholarly and economical metrics. The KPIs and outcomes do not lie…The impact Californians for Energy and Science is making is noteworthy as a group of academics, producers, refiners, and all related service providers, that attended are poised, locked in and primed to help UNLEASH California’s energy! #CA4ES #WSGRIT

I always appreciate the opportunity to learn, listen from experts (UC Berkeley Professor speaking tomorrow & a PhD student from Harvard) and connect with stakeholders to expand my knowledge -especially in the Energy space. Californians for Energy and Science day of learning starts today for me- excited. Unleash California Energy!

In California this week for work, and always reminded of how much Los Angeles, and the greater state as a whole, owes it's development to oil and gas. It would be nice if the state that is home to the largest historical oil field in the Lower 48 who has the 7th highest annual consumption of hydrocarbons wouldn't take their natural resources for granted. It's much more environmentally friendly to produce petroleum locally under strict regulatory scrutiny than continuing to transport commodities from global sources where environmental stewardship is far from a priority. If you truly want to reduce emissions, produce local California energy. #energy #energyindustry #oilandgas #oilandgasindustry #petroleum

Californi’s Office of Adminstrative Law places a temporary pause on CARB’s proposed gasoline tax hike. This morning, a gallon of gasoline costs $4.84 in California and $3.28 in the rest of the United States. This spread of $1.56 per gallon is self-imposed by Sacramento’s nation-leading taxes on gasoline and shut down of the California petroleum industry. It is time to Unleash California Energy! Critical discussion from the article written by Evan Symon at the California Globe: Senator Rosilicie Ochoa Bogh (R-Yucaipa) and Senator Brian Jones (R-San Diego) both called for the passage of SB 2 on Wednesday, which, if passed, would void the new LCFS amendments and end any rise in gas prices. “Families in this state are already grappling with soaring living costs, and a gas price hike of 65 cents or more will only deepen their financial strain,” said Senator Bogh. “It’s deeply frustrating that the governor’s administration ignored calls for reconsideration from the start. However, I commend the countless Californians who stood alongside Republican lawmakers in fighting against this harmful increase.” “The Newsom Administration’s 65-cent gas price hike has been PAUSED by CA’s Office of Administrative Law because it didn’t meet legal requirements,” added Senator Jones. “The unfair regulation failed to warn Californians accurately about the true impact it would have on gas prices. Newsom’s plan has always been to jack up the price of gas so high that you’re forced into an expensive EV. We’ve been fighting this since Day 1 and we won’t stop now. While this recent announcement is a momentary win, Newsom’s Air Resources Board has 120 days to address the issue and resubmit.
