Carpets & rugs treated with perfluoroalkyl or polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFASs) for stain- or soil-resistance are long-term sources of human and ecological exposures to this potentially harmful class of chemicals. That’s why, in 2021, our #SaferConsumerProducts Program regulated carpets and rugs containing PFASs as a Priority Product. Last year, we tested over 200 carpets & rugs sold in #California to determine if they complied with the regulation. Overall, this report concludes that PFASs are no longer used in the carpets & rugs sold in California! ??
