Earlier this week, AICPA and NASBA released a second exposure draft with proposed changes to the Uniform Accountancy Act to incorporate a proposed Competency-Based Experience Pathway. This alternative pathway could change how candidates meet CPA licensure requirements, and it’s now open for public comment. CalCPA is reviewing both exposure drafts, focusing on practical, flexible options that support candidates from diverse backgrounds and help maintain a cohesive interstate practice system. Once we finalize our feedback, we’ll share resources like webinars and FAQs to keep you informed.
