The California Rangeland Trust is excited to announce the conservation of 1,700 acres on the Rosasco Ranch in Madera County, CA. The funding for the project was provided by the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) Agricultural Conservation Easement Program (ACEP) and the California Strategic Growth Council’s Sustainable Agricultural Lands Conservation Program (SALC), in partnership with the California Department of Conservation (DOC). With this recent closing, the Rangeland Trust has closed a total of six projects this year, representing 94 ranching families and over 399,000 acres of rangeland in the Golden State. #KeepRanchersRanching #RangelandMatters #conservation #100Ranches
