I have been incredibly honored to work with the State of California and a terrific team of experts to design and launch the new Engaged California platform that will give the people of our state new channels to communicate with and get responsive action from their governments. Engaged California is an online, innovative engagement opportunity where California residents are invited to participate in meaningful in-depth conversations about timely or important topics. ODI is proud to be leading this effort with the Office of California Governor Gavin Newsom and the California Government Operations Agency. Our State Chief Data Officer Jason Lally and Micah Weinberg of the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace wrote a joint blog post sharing more about the program and its importance. ODI is proud to continue to collaborate with the Office of California Governor Gavin Newsom, the California Government Operations Agency, and the California Department of Technology to deliver on the user experience as it relates to guidance for firestorm survivors. There's a new resource on the ca.gov/lafires website for folks to access clear, step-by-step guidance on the first two phases of debris cleanup. ?? LA Wildfires Response and Recovery Technology Showcase?? Multiple communities in Los Angeles were directly and indirectly affected by the January wildfires and firestorms. LA’s recovery is Governor Newsom’s top priority. The California Government Operations Agency is hosting an event to showcase how technology can support the recovery and rebuilding work that is both ongoing and to come. We want to hear from private sector and nonprofit technology companies about the additional services, improvements, and innovations that can be launched immediately to improve the experience for survivors on their road to recovery. California's Government Operations Agency is inviting technology vendors to respond to four (4) survivor challenges. Upon review of responses, government leaders will select the most innovative solutions and invite those owner-developers to demonstrate their solution(s). Challenge areas include: 1?? Improving the survivor experience with digital recovery services 2?? Analytics and data services to promote equitable outcomes for affected survivors? 3?? Supporting all survivors to ensure there are no barriers to receiving the assistance they need 4?? Open response if your organization sees another fire response and recovery opportunity area ???
