The role of the Chair of the California Medical Instrumentation Association (CMIA) is a great honor. One of the most valuable and exciting aspects of my position is the opportunity to meet with new BioMed students. I enjoy listening to their questions and helping to open their minds to a world of new opportunities. Recently, we had a fantastic conversation that covered a range of topics, including career development, continuing education advancements, the future of medical devices, and the history of Real-Time Location Systems (RTLS) in healthcare from 2008 to the present. We also discussed the importance of networking within organizations such as CMIA, MDEXPO, AAMI Exchange, ICE, and CMIA Connect-26, highlighting the value these organizations bring to our field. The CMIA San Joaquin Valley Chapter is excited to invite you to our upcoming meeting on January 31st at 6:30 PM, hosted at Tachi Palace Hotel and Spa in the Blue Oak and Willow Meeting Room. This event will be an evening of networking, learning, and fun, designed to provide valuable insights for professionals in our industry.
