This week, the Food4All coalition has been conducting in-district and virtual meetings with state legislators as part of our #Food4AllWeekofAdvocacy Join us by asking your representatives to remove barriers to food security & support Assemblymember Celeste Rodriguez's #AB1049. Food4All is a permanent solution that addresses the longstanding issue of food insecurity in immigrant communities. In the wake of the devastating wildfires in LA and in the midst of increased fear in our immigrant communities, California must commit to immigrant inclusion in our most powerful anti-poverty program: CalFresh and the California Food Assistance Program. We need an equitable food safety net now, with no exceptions, no exclusions, no delays.

??Since his inaugural address and the executive orders that followed, President Trump outlined policies that pose significant challenges for immigrants living in the U.S. while raising concerns about the future of our communities. We’ve compiled resources to support organizations and allies working to protect immigrant rights. These materials, gathered from our partners in California and across the country, are designed to empower communities to rise up for justice, defend civil liberties, and ensure that everyone (regardless of immigration status) is treated with dignity. California just took an important step to protect immigrant communities by investing $25 million in legal services. This funding is critical in the fight against unjust detention, deportation, and family separation. At CIPC, we remain committed to ensuring ALL Californians, regardless of immigration status, have the support they need to thrive. Let’s keep pushing for policies that protect and uplift our communities! Full statement: CIPC.me/protectimmigrants #CaliforniaForAll #ImmigrantJustice #ProtectImmigrants

President Trump’s inaugural address laid out a vision that threatens millions of immigrants who are our neighbors, coworkers, friends, and family. To those impacted: You are not alone. Together, we resisted before, and we will continue to organize and build power to protect immigrant communities. CIPC and our partners will fight back by informing, organizing, and urging leaders at every level to reject Trump’s harmful, anti-immigrant agenda. We will also push state and local leaders to invest in legal assistance, protect programs that support immigrants, and advocate for a California for All—making our state a beacon of hope for the nation and the world. ? On #MLKDay, we honor Dr. King’s legacy of fighting for justice, including his advocacy for immigrant rights. His call to speak out for things that matter inspires us to continue fighting for a California where all immigrants—regardless of immigration status—can access the vital resources they need to thrive. As we prepare for the challenges ahead, including another Trump presidency, let us recommit to building a more inclusive Golden State. Together, we will keep pushing for dignity, equity, and justice for all Californians. ?? ?? #ImmigrantRights #MLKDay2025 #JusticeForAll

While we appreciate Gov. Newsom's commitment to core programs that protect immigrant Californians, the 2025 budget fails to fund immigration legal services, leaving immigrants vulnerable to the Trump administration's threats of mass arrests, raids, and deportations. It also neglects support for undocumented workers and entrepreneurs at risk of losing their livelihoods. ?? "The state budget is a reflection of our values. We must ensure that when we say all Californians deserve safety and protection, we mean everyone, regardless of immigration status," – Masih Fouladi, CIPC Executive Director. CIPC will continue to fight for the resources our communities need to thrive. Read our full statement: https://cipc.me/budget2025 #ImmigrantJustice #CaliforniaBudget
