?? Let's Make San Jose a Doughnut City! ?? Friends and supporters, we need your help to bring Doughnut Economics to life in San Jose! ???? Inspired by the California Doughnut Snapshot, a local group in San Jose is teaming up with the California Doughnut Economics Coalition to create a Doughnut Portrait of their city’s economy. This will help us understand how San Jose can thrive within planetary boundaries while meeting the social needs of all its residents. ???? What is Doughnut Economics? It’s a transformative economic model that focuses on a sustainable, equitable economy that works for people AND the planet. By assessing the city's economy through the lens of Doughnut Economics, we can ensure better living standards, protect our natural resources, and meet climate smart goals. San Jose faces challenges like income inequality, climate change, and housing affordability. By adopting this framework, we can address these issues in a holistic way — creating a more resilient, just, and thriving economy for everyone. ????? But we need your support to make this project a reality! Your donation will fund data collection, research, and help organize workshops and community events to bring this vision to life. ???? Together, we can set a powerful example for the Bay Area and beyond! ?? Let's create a Regenerative and Sustainable Economy that works for ALL! ?? Donate today and help us make a real difference in San Jose’s future! https://lnkd.in/g6t8Ku8z Thank you for your support! ?? #DoughnutEconomics #SanJose #Sustainability #Equity #ClimateAction #FutureOfEconomy #DonateNow #CaliforniaDoughnut #RegenerativeEconomics #MakeADifference #WellbeingEconomics

The more folks know about Doughnut Economics, the more possibility we can right the ship

The world is waking up to the undeniable reality that our businesses must shift to operate within planetary and social boundaries to create a thriving future. Kate Raworth’s Doughnut Economics offers a profound lens through which to see this future clearly—one where humanity lives between a "social foundation" (what all people need to thrive) and an "ecological ceiling" (the limits of Earth's life-supporting systems). Back in January, Rob and I explored how businesses can reimagine their economic roles through this framework. Visit this post to see how we guide Snowhaven through each step of the Doughnut Design for Business process.
