On Friday, November 15th, CCRC's Vice President of Loan Originations Jennifer Quevedo attended the grand opening of Los Lirios in Los Angeles! With 9,500 applicants for 64 income-restricted units, Los Lirios is a powerful reminder of the urgent demand for housing that is both affordable and sustainable. Located in Boyle Heights, Los Lirios demonstrates how transit-oriented developments can address the critical moment of building climate infrastructure while also enhancing community well-being. By integrating housing and transportation, Los Lirios reduces reliance on cars, directly addressing the environmental impacts of long commutes. Situated along Metro’s E Line and three Metro Bus routes, it offers residents a more sustainable way to navigate Los Angeles while contributing to reduced regional traffic and pollution. Los Lirios features studios, one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments for families earning 30%-50% of the Area Median Income (AMI). Importantly, 20 units are dedicated to formerly homeless households, supported by Project-Based Section 8 Vouchers, PATH VENTURES’ case management, and services from East LA Community Corporation. Residents benefit from thoughtfully designed amenities: a workout room, laundry facilities, community spaces, a children’s play area, and an outdoor courtyard, plus onsite offices for management and support providers—all tailored to foster stability and connection. As part of the Metro Joint Development Program, Los Lirios exemplifies the integration of affordable housing with transit-oriented development to create vibrant, sustainable communities. CCRC is committed to financing forward-thinking and multi-purpose developments like Los Lirios to meet the growing demand for affordable housing while reducing the state’s carbon footprint. This is just one example of the kind of forward-facing work of integrating communities with green infrastructure to create lasting people-oriented progress. ?? #Sustainability #AffordableHousing #TransitOrientedDevelopment #CCRC #CommunityImpact

California’s premier lender for the affordable housing development community
关于我们
CCRC was founded in 1989 with a goal of responding to California’s statewide affordable housing crisis. To this day, we continue to make a difference by collaborating with developers and the public sector across the state, facilitating private capital flow from our investors. Dedicated to improving outcomes for low-income families, seniors and residents with special needs, we provide access to capital that allows individuals to live, work and raise their families in communities throughout California, creating a more economically diverse and stable statewide economy. This includes programs from the Bridging the Divide initiative, which has three branches: education, digital and workforce. We subscribe to a housing-first model, where better housing means a better life, and we have funded more than $2.15 billion in loans, financing more than 49,000 rental homes for individuals and families earning 60% or less of the area median income. Providing this access to capital allows individuals to live, work and raise their families in communities throughout California, creating a more economically diverse and stable statewide economy.

The Multifamily Impact Framework? has been adopted widely throughout the industry and played a valuable role in delivering impact results for both MIC members and adopters of the Framework. To highlight their success, we are spotlighting adopters and members?who have benefitted from this key impact guide. This month, we are featuring Framework adopter California Community Reinvestment Corporation (CCRE).? CCRE is an organization that is dedicated to improving California Communities by financing the development and preservation of affordable housing for low-income households. The CCRE loan originations team incorporated the Framework into questionnaires for its borrowers delivered at loan commitment and loan funding, as well as into its annual post-funding borrower screenings.? ? We recently spoke with Tia Boatman Patterson, Esq., CEO and a leader in state and national housing legislation about the organization’s adoption of the Framework and how it is measuring the guide’s impact.? Why did you decide to adopt the Multifamily Impact Framework???? ? Boatman Patterson: CCRC is committed to doing more than simply counting the number of units?we finance. One of our goals is to understand and tell the real story of the impact we create, which connects us more deeply to outcomes for the residents we serve. By understanding the longitudinal change of our work and receiving critical data on the front end as well as annually, we can achieve measurable change for low-income individuals and families. The Multifamily Impact Framework? is helping us to do that.?? ? On the second day of Opportunity Finance Network's 2024 Conference, President & CEO Tia Boatman Patterson, Esq. also had the opportunity to sit on a panel discussing green multifamily housing alongside accomplished movers in the space! With expertise from Amy Brusiloff, Luba Kim-Reynolds, and Drew Ades, "Financing the Decarbonization of Multifamily Housing" overviewed the pervasive climate challenge facing the industry and the unique opportunity to further align housing and climate efforts through green capital. Importantly, green capital investments into housing are not untested or intangible - the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund represents one case study for potential integration of decarbonization with the existing processes for multifamily affordable housing. CCRC looks forward to continuing the work of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by financing sustainability with affordable housing! #OFN2024 #OFN #CCRC #GGRF #sustainability
