We are thrilled to announce the completion of three BESS projects in Westchester, NY, totaling 13.5 MW / 55.7 MWh of flexible capacity! These batteries will participate in New York’s Value of Distributed Energy Resources (VDER) program, alleviating grid stress during times of critical peak demand, and participating in available NYISO wholesale energy and capacity markets to drive additional value. A huge thank you to CS Energy for their partnership in bringing these projects to life. We have several solar and storage projects nearing completion in New York, including two landfill solar ones. These projects showcase how we’re transforming underutilized land into a valuable clean energy resource, helping power communities and support New York’s renewable energy goals. We cut the ribbon this week on Albany County’s first major solar photovoltaic (PV) ground-mount array on five acres of county property in the Town of Colonie! The 2.1-megawatt solar farm will generate nearly 3,000 MWh per year, equivalent to powering 270 homes. The solar project will be owned and operated by Calibrant Energy.
