At the Port of Lake Charles, Cajun recently hosted a well-deserved Safety Lunch for all on-site team members, celebrating their hard work & dedication. Sponsored by White Cap & other generous vendors, the event featured delicious food & exciting door prize giveaways. The day was not just about the rewards but also reflecting on the significant milestones achieved throughout the project. We took the time to discuss the successful implementation of our safety programs, particularly the Good Catch Program & the Banner Contest, which have played a crucial role in maintaining a safe work environment. Thanks to the collective efforts of everyone involved, the project has been a remarkable success, with zero recordable incidents to date. When Dennis Dozier Jr. was promoted from the field to senior construction manager at Cajun Industries, LLC, he says he struggled at first. "I struggled for the first year. It was different. When I was a field construction manager, I dealt more with the field – superintendents, crane operators, pile drivers, A/D directors, surveyors and project managers. In the senior construction manager's role, there's a different level of people that you deal with. And I struggled with that." To work through those challenges, he sought an outside mentor. "He helped me see things in a different light. He helped me look at the bigger picture. He said, 'Dennis, you're here because of who you are and what you've done and where you've been.' I was offered this position from where I was coming from, and that was the field." That perspective helped him focus. "Every day that went by, I got a little bit better and a little bit stronger and I learned a little bit more about what it takes to be a senior construction manager." #PDCADriven #constructioncareers #mentorship #deepfoundations #constructionmanagement

Cajun Industries' Houston office recently held a School Supply Drive for LPISD students in need. Thank you to everyone who donated supplies, contributed to the collection bucket, and helped with sorting. Thanks to your generosity, we collected 132 glue sticks, 119 packs of paper, 372 pencils, 123 boxes of crayons, markers, colored pencils, and much more. Our team excelled in the 2024 Lattice Boom NCCCO Class. A big shoutout to the seven crew members who passed the tough written and practical exams to earn their national accreditation! Before the exam, our employees had to complete extensive training in load handling, rigging, signaling, and crane set-up. They also had to master safety protocols and operational efficiency, which are essential for operating lattice boom cranes safely and effectively.
