When a child visits a health facility, whether it's planned or not, it can be stressful. Our outreach aims to provide comfort, improve mental wellness and provide those children something to smile about.

Are you looking for something to keep busy with during these cold days? Bags are needed that can be used for teen boys. This is a nice activity you can do together with your coworkers or at home with your family. The bags we use are readily available at your local craft store, dollar store, big stores or online They have a flat bottom, are paper with handles at the top and should fit a regular size coloring book. Bags can be mailed or dropped off to our office at 3303 North Sixth Street, Harrisburg, PA 17110 Thank you!

Thanks to this wonderful group from Capital Area Intermediate Unit for spending their volunteer time with us. During their volunteer sessions they decorated bags, assembled craft kits, made cards and built coping kits. All these wonderful projects will be sent on to children spending time in medical facilities to help them reduce their stress levels and improve their mental health. Thank you. Invite your employees to decorate cards of encouragement for children in Hospitals for a teambuilding activity. Our inventory of small cards is low. We need your help to make sure the kids receive nice cards of encouragement. They are needed for our Bags of Smiles and Coping Kits. Each month 2,000 - 3,000 cards are sent to hospitalized children through our organization. See the examples provided here, plus there will be other ideas posted in the comments. Cards should be no larger than 6" x 4.5". Decorate the front and write or draw inside the card, too. Sign your name if you wish. Create several of all the same design or several different designs. Each card will brighten the days of children dealing with medical issues. Thank you. When finished, drop-off or mail your cards to us at 3303 N. 6th Street, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
