By highlighting the importance of diversity and inclusion, we drive improvements within our company, elevate our projects, and inspire a new standard of excellence and innovation. This week we're hosting a couple DEI lunch discussions, a volunteer event at St. Anthony's, and posting an inclusion board where we'll celebrate individual and team collaborations/achievements! It was inspiring to connect with industry leaders, explore new trends, and discuss the future of affordable housing. ?? Last week we partnered with BAR Architects & Interiors, KPFF Consulting Engineers, and Maffei Structural Engineering to fundraise for Leap - Arts In Education through a unique event - guest bartending! Folks from each company volunteered to bartend and serve specialty drinks to the crowd at Jackalope ?? All proceeds go to LEAP, a non-profit that serves 7,000 Bay Area children each year. They offer students the opportunity to engage in visual/performing art and architectural learning experiences that prepare them for future success in school, in their communities, and in life. “When you put the right team in the right place, anything can happen.” This year the Asian Pacific American Community Center (APACCSF) celebrated their 25th anniversary by hosting a fundraiser gala. APACC grew from a small organization that only served monolingual Asian immigrants to an organization that serves all low-income and immigrant residents in Visitacion Valley and beyond. ?? A few members from Cahill attended to represent the company and celebrate this exciting milestone for APACC! It was a great evening enjoying a meal and entertainment from celebrity chef Martin Yan and reflecting on APACC’s successes over the past 25 years. ?? #CahillCommunity #APACC?

Today we're wrapping up Safe + Sound week - a nationwide event held by OSHA each August that recognizes the successes of workplace health and safety programs. ?? Last week we celebrated the end of summer with our awesome interns! The interns gathered at the SF office for one more afternoon of fun - they shared what they learned over summer, memories created along the way, and bonded over their experiences here at Cahill.
