Every year in the U.S., over 160 million lead batteries are saved from landfills. That means less hazardous waste in our environment and more materials being reused. ? But there’s still work to do! Don’t throw your old lead or other household batteries in the trash or recycle bin. Instead, take them to your local Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) drop-off facility. To find drop-offs and learn about other HHW items you should never throw away, visit https://lnkd.in/g8s29atu #HHWWednesday #sustainability [Source: BCI - U.S. Lead Battery Industry by the Numbers]

Happy #makeachangemonday! Here’s a simple way to help you cut plastic waste and save money: switch from disposable razors to electric ones! Disposable razors create plastic waste, cost more over time, and dull quickly. Meanwhile, an electric razor lasts for years, reduces waste, and saves money. Reminder: Before disposing of an electric razor, remove the batteries! Batteries are Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) and must be taken to a special facility. Find HHW drop-offs here: https://lnkd.in/gsjRrrUn Have you already made the switch? Let us know! ??
