Recently the Department of Cannabis Control Law Enforcement Team executed six search warrants targeting unlicensed residential indoor cultivations in Solano County. Nearly 3,200 pounds of unlicensed cannabis product was seized and destroyed, worth an estimated retail value of $5.2 million. In addition, 8 firearms (including 3 assault rifles), and $1,337 in cash was seized. All of the locations were red tagged by local code enforcement and their power was shut off. Multiple locations needed to be ventilated due to toxic substances and mold present, causing risk to officers and any individuals present. As part of our mission to protect public safety and uphold a responsible, regulated cannabis market, we continue to support local law enforcement in targeting unlawful operations that endanger our communities.

Following last month’s certification of the Mendocino County Environmental Impact Report, these licensees represent the first of nearly 500 businesses in the county slated to transition over the next year.
