Seamless connectivity is critical for MSOs managing hybrid networks and diverse service offerings. But transitioning user traffic between networks without disruption is a major challenge. CableLabs’ Seamless Connectivity working group, led by Sanjay Patel, John Bahr, Neeharika Jesukumar and Omkar Dharmadhikari, is tackling this issue by testing real-world scenarios and exploring potential solutions—one of which is ATSSS (Access Traffic Steering, Switching, and Splitting). This approach dynamically optimizes network transitions based on congestion, signal strength and application needs. Check out the recent demo from Winter Conference to see ATSSS in action: https://cablela.bs/4kLqvae
