"Navigating the diagnosis of Prostate Cancer is scary and intimidating. Fortunately for me I found through some online research the Halo Diagnostics. I called and was fortunate enough to speak to Denise Trotter who is knowledgeable, patient and was extremely helpful in guiding me in my search for a treatment that suited my level of cancer. I explained to Denise that I was scheduled for surgery with another Urology group and was extremely uneasy about the surgery route due to the side effects. In talking to Denise she gave me information of other treatments and most importantly the referral to Dr. Ilbeigi-I quickly made an appointment. My wife attended the appointment with me, Dr. Ilbeigi took the time to go over all the treatment options available to me and why one or the other was not appropriate for me due to my Gleason score levels, MRI results etc. Based on that appointment he felt the best option for me was radioactive seeds-Brachytherapy-LDR. He referred me to Dr. Kurtzman who is also affiliated with the Halo Institute. I had two phone consultations with Dr. Kurtzman who specializes in LDR seed implants and is the preeminent Doctor for that particular therapy.
