The ZED team were early adopters of Building Integrated Photovoltaic (BIPV) systems. We know better than most about their design and their limitations, it is for this reason that the ZED team have spent the past decade perfecting a best in class product that can be used on walls or roofs. The ZEDRoof only uses: Double glass laminate solar panels - which have the longest known service life of any type of panel. Aluminium for the framing system. Aluminium for all the flashings. Pure silicone for the gaskets. Stainless steel fixings throughout ? By using double glass laminate panels the ZEDRoof can have opaque or translucent panels which means solar atriums and solar loft rooms become possible. The ZEDRoof framing system can have opening sky lights, double glazed units, heat pump panels, windows and doors all fitted straight into the frame making total over cladding a reality opening up new possibilities in retrofitting. ?
