Even as women have made major strides in the working world, they are still held responsible for household work when they get home. According to McKinsey & Company's 2024 Women in the Workplace report, 4 in 10 women with partners say they are responsible for the majority of the housework - and this number has gone up since 2016. What's more, younger working women are experiencing this at the same rate as older women, which shows that even the more "progressive" younger generations are struggling to change those deeply rooted gender norms that place domestic housework on women. C200 member Lisa Collins always wanted to be a CEO. "I consciously sought out experiences [throughout my career] that would help me achieve that goal [of becoming a CEO]," she says.
