Delegating tasks isn't just about lightening your load; it's about empowering others and fostering growth. By sharing responsibilities, you show trust in your team’s capabilities, which boosts their confidence and morale. Delegation allows you to focus on higher-level tasks, enhancing productivity and innovation. And effective delegation pays off with better business results! We are working on delegation frameworks in our November C12 Business Forums around North Texas. We will have a great discussion with CEOs and Business Owners who work through this challenge daily. You can visit a forum by contacting me. Read about us at https://bit.ly/3yKDtyG. #c12forums #c12northtexas #christianCEOs

Almost every company has a mission statement. However, not all mission statements are created equal. Some are simply "poster-fodder." Others are rarely referenced. A few are known only to the leaders and have not permeated the organization. Frankly, it is common for the statement to be bland. They sound like corporate-speak devoid of inspiration and emotion. That's why we created a maturity model for mission statements. The model explains how to progress from something ineffective to something powerful. The powerful mission statements capture the exciting "what we do" and "why we do it" in a way that inspires the organization. There are practical steps to get to that inspiration. The model describes five levels. Where are you on the journey? At C12 Business Forums, we believe that mission clarity is essential. We can help you. Contact me, and I will send you some material. Your business may have outgrown your ability to monitor and control every detail. It is a common challenge faced by founders and CEOs, isn't it? Fear takes hold as you release responsibility to others who may know or care less than you do. At least that is what you feel. At C12 Business Forums, we help each other through this phase. We share knowledge and experiences. We encourage our peers in the middle of the struggle. There is nothing quite like sitting around a table with friends who know what you are going through and are deeply invested in your success. That's what our peer forums are about. Would you like to visit a forum in North Texas? Contact me and I will arrange it for you. You can also read about us at https://bit.ly/3yKDtyG. #c12forums #c12northtexas #christianCEOs

Think about what you want to accomplish as you consider delegating to employees. Are you simply expediting the completion of an isolated task? Or are you trying to develop leaders who increase their confidence and capabilities? Your answer matters because it defines how your approach and motivation. At C12 Business Forums, we help leaders create more leaders. We help you know how to identify and develop them. Part of the long-term development is how and what you delegate. We have frameworks to help you make those decisions. Plus, we have a peer forum where you hear from other CEOs and business owners about their delegation successes (and failures). There are dozens of forums meeting monthly in North Texas. Would you like to visit one as my guest? "No one does the task as well as I do." "If I want it done right, I have to do it myself." "They could do it, but walking them through the process takes too long." Recognize any of these statements. These are common reactions from leaders who are too busy yet consistently avoid the steps needed to delegate effectively. This trap leads to frustration for the leader, underdevelopment of employees, and long-term inefficiency in your processes. You can do better. In our November C12 business forums in North Texas, we are discussing practical ways to think about and accomplish delegation. For many leaders, this is information that can "change their lives." Would you like to visit a forum? Contact me, and I will explain the process. You can also read more about us at https://bit.ly/3yKDtyG. #c12forums #c12northtexas #christianCEOs

Do you ever wonder what is happening inside the folks working in your company? What if you knew perfectly about their struggles, life circumstances, and fears? Do you imagine they leave these issues at home when they begin their workday? Okay, what can you do? After all, it is hard enough just to run a business without considering the baggage people carry. Right? At C12, we think a healthy company culture helps employees. Maybe it is selfish since happy employees perform better. But, we believe it is more than that. We believe that we are stewards entrusted by God to be excellent in business while caring for our employees in exceptional ways. This infographic illustrates the workforce challenges and the opportunity for a mission-minded steward. In November, we will discuss what to do in our 24 business forums across North Texas. May we help you? Would you like a copy of our November curriculum? Just let me know. https://bit.ly/3yKDtyG #c12forums #c12northtexas #christianCEOs

Core values are those non-negotiable behaviors that define a company's culture. When they are clear, there is a greater likelihood of alignment among employees, more consistent decision-making throughout the business, and less distraction in the current operations and future directions. In our C12 Business Forums, we've found that identifying and refining core values typically takes time. We have described a maturity model in which a company begins at Level 1 (no clear core values) and moves to Level 5 (core values consistently infused in all decisions). The model explains the level characteristics and next-step actions to move from Level 1 to Level 5. The key is to know where you are and what will move you forward. We have 24 forums around North Texas where we work on issues like this one. We encourage each other to improve our core values and succeed in business. One success factor important for every leader is clarity about their business identity. In our C12 Business Forums, we spend much time answering six questions to help with that clarity. MISSION 1. What do you do? 2. Why do you do it? VISION 3. Where are you going? 4. What do you hope to become? CORE VALUES 5. What are your nonnegotiable behaviors? 6. What characteristics unify us? CEOs and Business Owners do not answer these questions in one meeting. The answers take time. That's why we have created maturity models for the three categories. They help to diagnose where you are and what your next steps might be. A business with a clear identity often has superior cultural alignment, focused long-term plans, and outstanding near-term results. Are those things you would want? Contact me, and I will explain how a C12 Business Forum works. You can visit one without obligation.
