Equipping Christian business leaders in Central Iowa to build great businesses for a greater purpose.

关于我们

Each day, business leaders face challenges, opportunities, and decisions with significant downstream impact. The considerable responsibility causes many of us to feel lonely at the top. We limit our potential when we lead from isolation. When surrounded by trusted advisors with a common goal and a similar worldview, we can maximize performance and impact. At our monthly C12 Forums, we gather with other Christian business leaders in Central Iowa to encourage and challenge one another to create solid plans for business growth while striving to create eternal impact far beyond the bottom line. This is an exclusive, confidential environment to have our questions answered and our answers questioned. This model is not for everyone. Allowing others to speak into all areas of our lives as Christ-followers, including our businesses, requires humility, transparency, courage, and grit. Do you have a group of peers that does this with you?

  • This passage beautifully illustrates the posture of active petitioning and listening - an essential practice for discerning God's purposes in our lives. Habakkuk positions himself as a vigilant watchman, ready to receive God's message. The Hebrew word translated "station" means to stand firm in a state of inner strength. We can learn from Habakkuk's approach: ????Listening: He strategically positioned himself to hear from God. "I will take my stand at my watchlist and station myself on the tower." We can create intentional space and time for prayer and reflection that is free from distractions. ?? Waiting: He actively awaited God's response in His timing. "And look out to see what he will say to me." As we actively wait to hear from God, we cultivate a heart of expectation, trusting He will reveal more of His will in His perfect timing. ??Journaling: He recorded the vision for clarity. "Write the vision; make it plain on tablets." We process what the Spirit impresses on our hearts through journaling and prayer. ???? Obeying: He prepared to obey regardless of how God answered. "What I will answer concerning my complaint." We can do the same, remaining open to God's direction and ready to act on what He reveals.

Blessed to get to hear Dave Hataj speak today right here in Des Moines today. His story is raw and powerful. Watch it here: https://lnkd.in/gdu-x2Jr What does the Kingdom of God look like in a small machine shop in Wisconsin? That was the catalyzing question for him. As it rightly is for all of us who are followers of Jesus leading the marketplace. For decades now Dave has been pursuing God’s vision to turn the culture of that business from darkness to light. By hiring for character and fostering kingdom-inspired values, he has built a blue-collar workplace that is incredibly productive and attractive to a new generation of skilled workers.

  • Effective #leadership is more than just a one-size-fits-all proposition. Paul Hersey and Ken Blanchard's Situational Leadership Model is a powerful approach to that empowers us to adapt our leadership style based on employee's knowledge, skills, motivation and confidence. This flexible approach to leadership enhances organizational performance and employee development. By adapting leadership styles to match the needs of individual team members and specific situations, we can unlock our teams' full potential, driving both short-term results and long-term growth.

  • Our love for others is a horizonal expression of our having embraced the vertical reality of God’s love for us. Because He first loved us, we have the ability and responsibility to share this life-giving love with others. Not as an obligation but as a natural outflow of our relationship with our Father. As followers of Jesus leading in the marketplace, our influence can reflect God’s love in profound ways, shaping the trajectory of our companies and the lives of those we lead.
