🚧 Construction is full steam ahead on the new Elmer Thomas Park Aquatic Center in Lawton, and we can’t wait to make a splash this 4th of July! 💦 We designed a full-family experience for Lawton with something for everyone—🏖️ Zero-entry play area, lap pool & diving boards, water slides & a lazy river. Our lead architect on the project, JD Clark, even had a little design partner along the way. “My daughter looked at the plans and gave me ideas. I’d say, ‘We’re doing that!’ and she’d get so excited.” But this isn’t just a pool—with smart 💡, lasting design, it’s community infrastructure that supports health, recreation, and local growth. We’re “Mining Hope” one can at a time. ⛏️🥫 For this year’s CANstruction event with The Salvation Army of Central Oklahoma, Guernsey’s architects, interior designers, and engineers teamed up to design and build something that’s both playful and powerful. Guernsey is proud to support public safety! We just broke ground on the new Troop B Headquarters for the Oklahoma Highway Patrol — and from a design perspective, this one was truly special. Why? Because it’s being built right in the middle of a turnpike on/off ramp — a location that demanded creativity, precision, and purpose. Designing a functional, high-performing facility in such a unique spot? That’s the kind of challenge we live for. Located in Tulsa, this facility sits on 5 acres of Oklahoma Turnpike Authority land and will serve a dual purpose for both Troop B and the Creek Turnpike — maximizing state resources and operational efficiency. Inside, the design balances simplicity with serious capability: 💥 Space for the OHP Bomb Squad and Traffic Homicide Unit 📡 The Northeast Regional Communications Center, OHP’s second-largest 🏋️♂️ A large training room for regional law enforcement 🌀 An ICC-500 storm shelter to keep dispatchers safe 💡 Fully equipped with power, HVAC, plumbing, and more This isn’t just another metal building — it’s a mission-driven design that proves smart, strategic architecture can happen anywhere. #PublicSafetyArchitecture #FormMeetsFunction #InfrastructureWithPurpose

We’re excited to announce that Guernsey has won the IIDA Texas Oklahoma Chapter Design Excellence Award for Best of City Center-OKC for our work on the Newcastle Fire Station! 🚒✨ Newcastle, a growing rural suburb of the OKC metro area, has seen a population boom—up 33% since the last census! To meet the needs of this thriving community, a new 19,000 SF fire station was designed to support the safety, health, and camaraderie of Newcastle’s firefighters while providing increased capacity to serve the area. This facility features 10 private sleeping rooms, private shower spaces, a 30-seat training room, office spaces, a fitness center, and a welcoming communal kitchen and dining area. The apparatus bay includes cutting-edge air purification systems, SCBA and decontamination rooms, and a storm shelter.
