Postsecondary staff recently went to the Columbus Metropolitan Library for a career event. They were there to spread the word about the incredible opportunities available in the at Postsecondary Center. Programs include Manufacturing pathways, Cybersecurity, an upcoming Drone class, Quality Tech, and various Health and Public Safety courses. The event saw a fantastic turnout of 11th and 12th-grade students, as well as local college attendees, all eager to enhance their skills for future career paths. #SkillsMatter

At C-TEC we help our students make successful transitions, regardless of their stage in life. Our mission is clear: ”provide all learners with academic and technical skills needed for career opportunities and continuous learning.” The majority of tomorrow’s jobs will require people to have technical training. The technical curriculum at C-TEC's High School and Adult Education Center prepares students to enter the workforce and/or a two or four-year college degree programs. In addition to our High School and Adult Education Center, C-TEC offers Customized Training to local employers to assure that their employees have the technical skills necessary to succeed. Customized Training is available around the clock on and off-site.

ESOL success story. Student Steeven Cebea, originally from Haiti, started attending the ESOL classes in our Postsecondary Center. After successfully improving his English in our program, he enrolled in Columbus State Community College while also attending our ESOL classes. During his time here at C-TEC he has successfully attended our ESOL program and taken multiple IET classes (Integrated Education and Training) and received certifications in NRF Supply Chain, Inventory & Logistics and NRF Business of Retail: Operations and Profit. Currently, Steeven is working while continuing his college education. Great stories like this happen every day on our campus!

SkillsUSA Central Regional contests were recently held. We had 28 students compete and they represented C-TEC well. The students below earned a medal and will be joining approximately 30 other C-TEC students at State competition in mid-March. #skillsmatter
