Rensselaerville Water District Receives Maximum Funding Award to Upgrade Water Treatment Plant, with C.T. Male’s Help! C.T. Male Associates (C.T. Male) was mentioned recently in a press release published by Rensselaerville Water District. The release credited the use of a Preliminary Engineering Report as drafted by C.T. Male engineers in helping the Town of Rensselaerville obtain eligibility for a New York State Base Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF) hardship grant, along with interest free long-term financing. When combined, the award amount exceeds $2.5M. C.T Male team members Kathryn Serra, Bridget Fitz-James and Mark Williams conducted the water evaluation used to obtain the funding. This maximum funding award will allow an upgrade to the District’s water treatment plant, enabling the Town to improve a drinking water system that supplies 79 households. See below for the release:

The Rensselaer County Vietnam Memorial, nestled on the Hudson River in Troy, NY, stands as a heartfelt tribute to local veterans who served in Vietnam, including those who gave their lives. C.T. Male’s connection to this memorial stretches back to the late 1980s, when the firm was commissioned to design the park surrounding the central statue—a depiction of three soldiers in a moment of courage and compassion. The recent rediscovery of an original rendering created by C.T. Male brought this project back to life for our team, connecting past and present in a meaningful way. The vision of the Rensselaer County Vietnam Memorial Committee, co-founded by veterans like Jim Davey, Jim Spain and Tim Ryan, was to recognize the sacrifices of local soldiers. The result is a poignant memorial park with a central sculpture of soldiers and a plaque that reads, “Honor the Warriors, Not the War.” This message, combined with the quiet beauty of the park’s landscape designed by C.T. Male, invites visitors to reflect on the courage of those who served. Today, and fittingly on every Veterans Day, the memorial continues to serve as a place of remembrance, while C.T. Male remains proud to have helped bring this vision to life. With over a century of community-focused projects, we carry forward a legacy of dedication, both in our designs and in our partnerships with the communities we serve. Memorials such as these help to remind us to honor the veterans not only today, but every day. For more history on the project and how it came to be, you may visit our news page on our website.

C.T. Male Associates is proud and privileged to have been a supporter of such an impactful event yesterday. The WSWHE BOCES 3rd Annual CTE Works! Career Exploration Event exposes hundreds of 8th -12th grade students in the capital region to potential career opportunities before they make the big leap into a trade, or higher education. Raymond Liuzzo, P.L.S, Nicholas Lobosco, RA, and Nicole Bailey, MBA had the pleasure of attending this event to help spread awareness. The students were full of curiosity, passion, and excitement knowing there were so many opportunities for them. ?A huge thank you goes out to Brandon K. Aldous, and so many others, for organizing this event. A big thank you to Christian Cernauskas at NCEES and Trent Keenan at the National Society of Professional Surveyors (NSPS) Workforce Development for sending some handouts and giveaways to help guide students on how to start a career in surveying. If you are a part of a company that is not already participating, this is a great way to get your name in front of students, and open their eyes to the possibilities they may not know about!

This month’s Coffee for A Cause was for the 501c not for profit Sleep in Heavenly Peace. Collectively we gathered donations to contribute to their mission “no kid sleeps on the floor in our town”. When a child receives?a bed, they get a new handmade bed, mattress, linens, comforter, blanket, and pillow - everything needed for a good night's sleep. Our local chapter in Mechanicville has donated 2,000 beds in more than 50 local zip codes. We are proud to support such a great cause! #NoKidSleepsOnTheFloor?
