Subsea data collection and delivery provider Tiburon Subsea, Inc and C-Power today announced they will collaborate on an upcoming demonstration of C-Power’s SeaRAY #oceanenergy at the PacWave South wave energy test site off the Oregon coast. During the deployment, C-Power plans to demonstrate the breadth and depth of the SeaRAY’s capabilities simultaneously supporting surface and subsurface mobile and static assets in the ocean with power and data communications. #oceaneconomy #blueeconomy #subsea #subseaengineering #offshoreenergy #renewableenergy #cleantech

?? News from our collaborator C-Power! C-Power has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with SLB OneSubsea, in a joint industry project with Subsea7. We have been collaborating with C-Power for several years, providing Halo as the subsea battery energy storage system, intelligent energy management and gravity anchor for the Oregon SeaRAY autonomous offshore power system (AOPS) field tests. The system offers power, energy storage and real-time communications for autonomous and connected ocean technologies, to power applications such as subsea vehicles, sensor packages and operating equipment. ?? Together with U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and our partners in the Subsea Integration Alliance, Subsea7, we will field test C-Power’s SeaRAY autonomous offshore power system (AOPS), a truly integrated solution that is fit for offshore applications, including electric actuation and wireless telemetry. This 18-month project aims to demonstrate long-term reliability in harsh ocean conditions, and it will be duly tried and tested at the PacWave South?test site in Oregon.??? Why does it matter? We’re thrilled to announce C-Power has signed an #MOU with SLB joint venture OneSubsea to explore #oceanenergy as a lower-cost, lower-carbon power source for #subsea technology. The University Marine Energy Research Community (UMERC) hosted its annual conference in Duluth, Minnesota, earlier this month, with C-Power Senior Associate and UMERC board member Kristiana Terrasa in attendance. UMERC amplifies the power of foundational #marineenergy research, increasing knowledge transfer between universities, national laboratories, and the private sector, and the conference convened research and industry leaders working together to commercialize #oceanenergy technologies and fill critical research gaps.
