???? Digital Citizenship: Every Click Matters ???? Every click, comment, and share shapes the digital world—and the real one. When children overlook the impact of their online interactions, they may forget the people behind the screen. Digital citizenship is about more than just online safety; it’s about fostering kindness, responsibility, and awareness in every interaction. By helping children recognize the consequences of their digital actions—both positive and negative—we empower them to navigate the online world with integrity and empathy. #mendezfoundation #toogood #toogoodfordrugs #toogoodforviolence #positivedigitalcitizenship

  • Prevention starts with preparation. Too Good for Drugs is more than just a curriculum—it’s a skills-based approach to empowering students with the tools they need to make healthy choices, build positive relationships, and stand strong against peer pressure. Rooted in research and designed for K-12 students, Too Good for Drugs strengthens the protective factors that keep kids on the right path while reducing the risk factors associated with alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs. At the heart of the program are five essential character development skills that support self-efficacy, healthy decision-making, and academic success: ? Setting Reachable Goals – Teaching students to plan for success ? Making Responsible Decisions – Building confidence in navigating challenges ? Bonding with Pro-Social Others – Strengthening connections with positive influences ? Identifying and Managing Emotions – Encouraging self-awareness and emotional regulation ? Communicating Effectively – Fostering strong interpersonal skills When students develop these skills, they are better equipped to make informed choices, resist negative influences, and build a foundation for a bright future. #PreventionEducation #TooGoodForDrugs #YouthEmpowerment #StudentSuccess https://lnkd.in/e5vhtb4N

Happy Anniversary, Woody Berentes! Congratulations (to all of us) as we celebrate Woody's incredible work in our community! We couldn't be more proud of Woody's motivation and the passion he brings to his training. Woody not only leads the Too Good For Drugs initiative in our community's Middle Schools, he conducts monthly Suicide Prevention Training Workshops and even oversees our Crisis Center Specialist Training in our Crisis Center. We are so happy to have him on our team! Here's what he has to say about his work: "My drive as the community trainer comes from the impact that suicide has played in my personal and professional life. Every day, I am allowed the opportunity to normalize the conversation surrounding suicide so others can feel they can do the same and create trained communities to feel open to those who are having thoughts of suicide. " We think you're pretty cool for that ?? Help us celebrate Woody's first anniversary! Today is Global Day of Unplugging! It's easy to lose track of time online. From social media to gaming and streaming, we spend too much time glued to our devices. Excessive online time has real life consequences making it harder to concentrate, get quality rest, and explore new interests. Take this moment to step away from the screen and immerse yourself in real-world connections and enjoy the moment. Go for a walk, read a book, have lunch with a friend, or simply be present. #unplugged #mendezfoundation #toogood #toogoodfordrugs #toogoodforviolence #apeaceableplace
