We care about the number of women who work at our business (24%). We care that our client satisfaction rate is 9.1/10 and our repeat and referral rate is 93%. We care about every dollar and pro-bono hour we donate to local charitable organizations, as well as the 400 hours of volunteer time off our employees used this year alone. We care that 60% of our clients are non-profits. And that we have a 74% construction waste recycling rate across our projects. These all ladder up to our favorite number —100.4! That is our B-Corp Brand Impact Score, which shows just how much we’re committed to upholding the very highest standards in environmental and social governance. And, by being a B-Corp, we care about continually improving that score by staying totally transparent and accountable every step of the way. Built on the banks of Lake Cochichewick, the George and Evanthea Demoulas Family Boathouse faced numerous challenges, from water pressure issues to environmental regulations. Working collaboratively with OLSON LEWIS + Architects , we navigated these obstacles and created a facility that meets the school’s needs. The new boathouse isn’t just for the rowing program however; it’s a versatile space that has already hosted school dances, Trustee dinners, and other social events. One of the first priorities at Creative Hub was to reframe and build the gym floor. It was unsafe to walk on and a major safety hazard. To reframe it, we needed to create a temporary floor over the pool. The design also called for steel columns against the brick gym walls to reinforce the aging structure. Creative Hub is an adaptive reuse project, where we’re transforming the former Ionic Avenue Boys Club in Worcester into a community arts center.
